Road To Salvation

In the book of Matthew, Jesus commands His followers to “take the gospel to every creature.” That commands has echoed through the ages and the AGF Family takes this command very seriously. We want each person we come into contact with to know of the wonderful love of Christ.

Have you ever felt there was something missing in your life? When lying in bed at night, walking through the park, even looking into your loved one’s face thinking, “there has to be more in life.”

That aching we feel is Jesus, he says in his word, “ I stand at the door and knock, anyone who hears me and answers I will enter.” He desires to have a personal relationship with each of us.

Maybe you’re asking, “ What can I do? How can I fill the void?"

It’s as simple as A B C:

   abc blocks

A-Admit

We need to admit that we’re a sinner. Sin is defined as “anything we do, that God hates.”  When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden sin nature was passed on to everyone. This is clearly stated in Romans 5: 19  For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

We also read in Romans that, “for ALL have sinned and come short of God’s glory.” As human beings we miss the mark compared to God’s holiness. But because of His GREAT love he made a way for us to come into his presence.

This way was through the sacrifice of his Perfect Son, Jesus.

B-Believe
One we admit our sin we have to believe that Jesus is the only way for us to come to God.  In John 14:6 Jesus, shows us this principle by saying, “ I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

Jesus came to earth and was born of a virgin. He then lived and walked on this earth for 33 years. His purpose was clear; to seek and save those who are without him.  1 Corinthians 15, gives us the best picture of His sacrifice “He was buried and rose again on the third day.”

C-Confess
Our only part in this free gift is to acccept it. We must confess with our mouth and believe in our heart. Many people and religions over time have had head knowledge of God and his son’s sacrifice but they don’t truly believe it in their hearts.

This is the most important decision you will ever make in your life. It’s a decision that affects not only this life, but also the next. You may be thinking, “I have time, I will have my fun and commit my life to God tomorrow.” This is a risky choice as the Bible tells us, “For what is your life? It is but a vapor that appears for a short time and then vanishes away.”

No one knows what tomorrow will bring.

Maybe you still have questions about this. Please feel free to E-Mail Pastor Marc. He would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. The angels in heaven rejoice when someone comes to know Christ. Our pastor rejoices right along with them.
